Richard is a Digital Technology Consultant in the University Libraries, with a focus upon digital scholarship methods and tools. His current projects include the National Archives-funded People Not Property expansion of the Digital Library on American Slavery (http://library.uncg.edu/slavery/) and Well Crafted NC (http://www.wellcraftednc.com/), documenting the history, business, and culture of beer brewing in North Carolina. Richard is a member of the UNCG/Guilford County Metrolab Network, chairs the University Libraries Digital Scholarship working group (http://libresearch.uncg.edu/), and is a founding member of the Brewing History Consortium (http://brewinghistoryconsortium.com/), a national group created in April 2018 to bring together librarians, archivists, historians, scholars, and others who are actively working to research and document the history of beer and brewing.
